Term Law Clerk

The term law clerk to the Chief Bankruptcy Judge researches issues of law, attends court proceedings,
acts as a legal advisor, and makes recommendations based on the law to Chief Bankruptcy Judge. The
term law clerk may be responsible for drafting memoranda opinions and complex orders, providing
guidance for the procedural management of the court's caseload, and drafting local forms, form orders,
and notices.

 

 

Scanning Technician

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of West Virginia is recruiting for wellorganized,
detail‐oriented individual for the position of Scanning Technician. This is an entry‐level
operational court support position. The Scanning Technician scans and uploads documents into the
Court’s electronic case filing system. This is a temporary position, with a full‐time work schedule. The
term for the position is scheduled to begin December 2019 and is not to exceed beyond January 31, 2020.
More than one position may be filled by this vacancy announcement.
