January 12, 2015: Instructions Regarding Electronic Audio Recordings Presented to the Court and/or Offered into Evidence
Since 2012, the Clerk's Office has posted audio recordings of every court hearing on PACER.  Occasionally, parties have questions regarding the admissibility of such audio recordings.  The following guidance was reviewed by the court and is intended to assist parties regarding audio file admissibility under Fed. R. Evid. 9002.

February 12, 2013: Instructions Regarding Election Under 522(q)
The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act ("BAPCPA") added subsection (q) to § 522 of the Bankruptcy Code to limit, in certain circumstances, the available homestead exemption for debtors who "elected" under § 522(b)(3)(A) to exempt property under State or local law.
