CM/ECF is the courts Case Management System as well as a Public Access System.   This provides access to case information electronically using a personal computer with access to the internet.  Case information can be retrieved as far back as 1990.  This information can be saved on your computer or directed to a printer immediately.   Without visiting our court,  a user can obtain case and party information. CM/ECF is available at http://ecf.wvnb.uscourts.gov for use

The Voice Case Information System (McVCIS) provides prerecorded voice messages and is accessible through telephone lines. The system offers search capabilities using name, case number, social security number or tax identification number. For case information, dial toll free 866-222-8029 and enter the state abbreviation ( 98 ) for West Virginia and for the Northern District enter ( 1 ) when prompted.

The online Court Calendar offers intersted parties a way to see what cases are scheduled to appear before the court.
